Arguably the most hilarious Broadway play this season is Boeing Boeing, the 2008 Tony award winner for best revival of a play. If you prefer comedies to musicals, silly and entertaining comedies to clever comedies, Boeing Boeing is your show for tonight. (with 39 Steps as the clever comedy alternative)
In Boeing-Boeing, Bernard (Emmy winner Bradley Whitford / Greg Germann), an architect living in Paris, has been successfully juggling three fiancees (Gina Gershon, Kathryn Hahn, Mary McCormack / Missi Pyle) who are all flight attendants from different airlines. Bernard’s French housekeeper (Tony and Emmy Award winner Christine Baranski) reluctantly plays romantic air-traffic controller as they fly in and out of his swank bachelor pad. But when an old college pal Robert (2008 Tony Award Best Actor winner Mark Rylance) visits Bernard, things get rather turbulent! Schedules change, flights are delayed and the chaos that ensues provides the audience with over an hour of non-stop laughter!
